We have been busy in Primary Four in the first half of Term One.
World Around Us
We have completed a science experiment to try and find the best cement to use when building a house.
We went outside and tried to create some habitats for animals that will be starting to hibernate soon.
Numeracy
We completed a challenge to “Save Fred”. He needed to be rescued and placed in the lifebuoy, but we couldn’t touch him or the lifebuoy with our hands. We worked in teams to see if we could save him. Everyone made a plan then we tried it out to see what would work best. We all managed to save Fred!
We have worked hard with place value, and found lots of different ways to create numbers. We played lots of games to explore different numbers. We even made our own abacus using spaghetti and cheerios.
Outside we raced against each other during a place value game.
