National Smile Month :-)
๐ This month is National Smile Month! ๐
National Smile Month (17th May – 17th June 2021) is all about championing the benefits of having good oral health and promoting the value of a healthy smile. A child’s first experiences with oral health can impact on the rest of their life.
Tooth decay is the most common cause for children to go under general anaesthetic yet almost hospital admission could be prevented by following a simple daily oral health routine.
That’s why it’s so important to teach them about their mouth and introduce them to good habits as soon as possible.
•Brushing teeth last thing at night and at least one other time during the day with a fluoride toothpaste
•Cutting down on how often they have sugary foods and drink
•Visiting the dentist regularly, as often as they recommend
Our ‘Top Tips’ provides simple advice on caring for their child’s oral health.
